2016: Not the best year in many ways, but it did witness the birth of Steve-Fest. What initially seemed like a crazy, hair-brained dream, to host our own summer festival, turned into a reality on a rather fun-packed weekend in July. The weather wasn’t at its best; the ground was a tad soft; children got a wee bit muddy but, I think most people will agree, none of this really mattered. Everyone who came along just seemed to have the best time. We certainly did! It was the festival we’d always wanted. So, 2017 will see us doing it all over again 🙂
Steve-Fest 2 will be hitting the sunny fields of Derbyshire on Friday 30th June, Saturday 1st July & Sunday 2nd July.
Last year’s event was rather memorable in oh, so many ways. We’re aiming for bigger and better things this time around and we’d once again love you all to come and join us for what will, hopefully, be another fantastically fun weekend.
Venue
Our venue for 2017 will be exactly the same idyllic little spot as last year, but hopefully a lot drier 🙄 Steve-Fest 2 will be at Go Wild in Wirksworth. We loved the location, so were more than happy to return. As campsites go, this isn’t really the biggest. Facilities are somewhat basic and rustic, but we kinda like it that way.
- There is no electric hook-up.
- There are two ‘proper’ flushing toilets and a shower.
- Cold running water is available.
- Recycling and rubbish bins on site.
- Fire-pits and barbecues are permitted (as long as they are raised off ground).
- Dogs are very welcome (even our crazy hound!), but do beware of the sheep that wander around sometimes. Those poor sheep probably still have nightmares about our dog 😯
Address
Beighton Lane, Matlock, Derbyshire DE4 4AJ
We’ll stick a few easy to follow signs up on the day.
[gmap-embed id=”4209″]Tickets
Steve-Fest 2017 tickets are priced per person, per night, regardless of what you’re camping in. It just makes it a lot less complicated that way. £6 a night for adults and £3 a night for any over 5s. We also have a small nominal fee of £2 for any Saturday day visitors who aren’t able to camp overnight. The venue will be open from midday on the Friday 30th June and will have be to cleared by Sunday afternoon. We are opening this event up to more people this year, but space is limited and we wouldn’t want the field to get too crowded or noisy, so we may limit the tickets if numbers are growing.
More information and a link to purchase your tickets is available on the tickets page.

Music
Live bands! Details to follow…….
In addition, last year we had lots of fun compiling over twenty hours of music to stick on a playlist. People sent in their requests and the playlist just grew and grew. Most of it got played (I think?). This year we’ll do exactly the same. We’ll have a daytime playlist and an evening one. If you want to add a few tunes, either add them yourself via Deezer, or send us your requests.

Entertainment
Steve-Fest 2016 was a massive party, to help Steve with the shock of reaching 50! This year we want it to be a big party for everyone. Tracy and Steve will be celebrating their wedding anniversary and we know a few people have birthdays around June/July, so let’s all celebrate. We are hoping for some exciting entertainment over the weekend – watch this space!
Live music, performances, kids games and even a dog show are ON!
Keep up to date with the Steve-Fest 2 Facebook Event. We’ll post any news as and when we have it.
Hope to see you all in the summer.
