I have over twenty years experience working in schools; primary, secondary and infant schools. I’ve also delivered art sessions for families, community groups and youth groups. Sometimes the school/venue has a specific theme or project in mind, other times they are happy for me to suggest ideas to them. I do have a very extensive catalogue of art workshops, all of which are tailored to specific age groups. Activities that have proved popular include, murals, collage, wire & clay modelling, drawing/painting activities, diwali sessions, willow & tissue lanterns, abstract art and many many more.

If you are interested in arranging an arts activity for your school/venue just drop me an email or give me a call (via my contacts page), I’d be more than happy to discuss things further. My rates of pay are very competitive, I have up to date DBS certificates, current safeguarding training and can provide references from previous projects if required. More  images & information about my teaching work can be found over on my Facebook page.

“Thank-you so much Steph! Year 2 had a fun-packed, exciting workshop day, making a variety of collages with you. Your enthusiasm is infectious and your inspiring activities enabled the children to become confident collage artists! Your visit has been an outstanding foundation for our Arts Award topic and we look forward to working with you again, next year.” – Fiona Blake, Art and Design teacher, Overseal Primary School.

“Steph came to St. Peter’s as ‘Artblock’ and over the years has worked on many projects to improve Art in school. Her long term and most recent commitment has been to run an art club after school. This is a really popular club with all pupils that is always oversubscribed Steph’s art skills are excellent, as is her manner with our pupils.Steph has a professional and friendly manner with all stakeholders and is always able to adapt her skills to meet the needs of different people. This was demonstrated when she ran an art training day for all of our staff and brought out the artists in all of us!” Alison Woodhouse, Head teacher, St. Peter’s C of E Primary School.
