And I’m not just talking about a playful little prod into the stomach here 😡
Answer…
When the lady in question has just bagged up her shopping at the end of the supermarket checkout and started to saunter off home, leaving behind on the conveyer-belt a small packet of chewing-gum. As I’m next in line I spot the packet instantly and ask who’s it is…
‘Oh it must be that lady’s’ the checkout girl informs me.
A few shouts down the shop fall on very deaf ears, so despite the fact that I have shopping of my own to buy and a rather heavy Sawyer under one arm I set off in pursuit, shouting as I go. The lady is well into the car-park when I exhaustedly catch her…
‘Hi, you left your chewing-gum at the checkout,’ I inform her and hand over the packet.
Without even uttering a single word, let alone a thank-you, the ‘lady‘ just nods down towards her shopping bags for me to drop the packet into 😯 I do so and she simply turns and continues on her merry way… Without even a single word 😯
So I ask again… When is it ethically correct to punch a lady (very hard)?

While never condoning violence, a swift prod to the calf with the sharpened point of an umbrella containing a pellet of Ricin seems an appropriate response in this instance!
While gallantry is still clearly still alive and well in some quarters… manners seem dead in others!

2 days have now passed and I’m now a lot calmer about the incident… AND I STILL WANT TO PUNCH HER 👿

That would have been quite funny if you had punched her, seeing she had a shopping bag in each arm and you could have gotten at least one good shot in! Would have been a good lesson in manners for Sawyer as well!
