A wee bit of a shock to see our old neighbourhood on the news yesterday. Not maybe that unusual, but the location & exact nature of the news story was. Our old house in Derby was literally spitting distance away from Normanton Park. Our insane hound could drag me onto the park in a matter of seconds 😯 It’s perhaps a good job we weren’t around to do that yesterday…
Apparently someone found an abandoned suitcase on the leafy little park, called the police and moments later the cavalry had arrived with something resembling Sir Killalot 😯 The park was closed, nearby residents were evacuated and hours later the harmless empty suitcase was zapped (rather loudly) by Sir Killalot. I know they had to make doubly sure that the suitcase wasn’t a bomb, but it does all seem a little excessive. Our dog would’ve undoubtedly pissed up the case & diffused it in seconds…
